WIAA Announces 2009 Emerald City Kickoff Classic

(RENTON, Wash.) - The 2009 Emerald City Kickoff Classic (ECKC), presented by Farmers Insurance Group, is a day long event that showcases several of the top high school football teams in Washington state.  Eight of the featured teams in this year’s ECKC competed in the 2008 State Football playoffs.  The event is being held on Saturday, September 5, at Qwest Field, home of the Seattle Seahawks.

2009 Emerald City Kickoff Classic Schedule

  • 9:30 a.m.  2A Archbishop Murphy  vs.  2A Lynden
  • Noon 4A Kennewick  vs. 4A South Kitsap
  • 3:00 p.m. 3A Capital  vs. 3A O’Dea
  • 5:30 p.m. 6A Jesuit (Oregon  vs. 4A Skyline
  • 8:00 p.m. 4A Bothell  vs. 4A Issaquah
