This position reports to the Head Varsity Track Coach and Athletic Director.

Bishop Blanchet High School is seeking a Head Track and Field Coach for the 2022-2023 spring season.


Preferred Applicants will have previous coaching experience at the HS level, 21 years or older, possess a valid Washington State driver’s license with a CDL endorsement, and current First Aid/CPR/AED certification, and proof of vaccination.


Track and Field is a spring sport. The season runs from February 27-May 27, 2023


Responsibilities will include:


Compliance with all Bishop Blanchet HS, Metro League, and WIAA policies and procedures.

Managing a large coaching staff.

Supervision of student-athletes during all team activities.

Practice and game times vary throughout the week. Coaches need to be available between the hours of 3-8pm (Monday-Saturday).

Effective communication with players, coaching colleagues, and parents.

Promotion of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and fair play among team members

Maintenance and inventory of team equipment and apparel

Teaching the rules of the game and technique to improve player development

We offer competitive coaching stipends based on experience.

Statement of Vaccination Requirement – Condition of Employment
The Governor’s Proclamation 21-14.2 requires all employees of educational institutions (schools) to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless a medical or religious (moral/ethical) exemption is approved. Being fully vaccinated means that an individual is at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. As a condition of employment, newly hired employees will be required to provide proof of their COVID-19 vaccination.
